Many state and local HBAs have partnered with the NAHB Research Center to help their members develop green communities, build green residences and remodel existing homes and have them certified through the NAHB Research Center's National Green Building Certification Program. These affiliated programs also offer local educational opportunities for builders and for home buyers about the National Green Building Standard.
